World AIDS Day
In the year 1984 many people have lost their lives due to HIV or AIDS. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV.

National Pollution Control Day
The Day is observed on 2nd December to raise awareness about pollution and its hazardous effects. It commemorates the victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities

International Civil Aviation Day

The International Anti-Corruption day is meant to remind the community about the loss that
corruption causes.

Human Rights Day
The day was incepted in 1948.This day is observed to protect the fundamental human rights of
all people.

UNICEF Day
The United Nations General Assembly created UNICEF on December 11, 1946. The program
was initiated by the UN to improve the health, nutrition, education, and general welfare of
children devastated due to World War II.

National Energy Conservation Day
The purpose behind the celebration of this important day is to spread awareness about the
necessity of energy and its conservation in our daily life.

Vijay Diwas

In 1972, the Pakistani forces surrendered to the allied forces consisting Indian Army .This
special day is a remembrance for the brave soldiers and for all those people who had fought
and lost their lives.

Minorities Rights Day

The day focuses on promoting and preserving the rights of minorities and ensures the safety
of them.

International Migrants Day

International Migrants Day is celebrated on to raise awareness about the protection for migrants and refugees.

Goa’s Liberation Day

On 19 December 1961, the Indian Army invaded Goa with Operation Vijay. Goa was organised as a centrally administered union territory of India which later became a state.

National Mathematics Day
