It is a public holiday, in some countries it is usually celebrated on 1st May or the first Monday of May. It is an ancient festival marking the first day of summer, and a recent traditional spring holiday in many European traditions. Dances, singing, and cakes are usually part of the festival.

International Labor Day

It is globally known as Labor Day or May Day. In India, it is described as Antar-rashtriya Shramik Diwas or Kamgar Din. This day is meant for acknowledging the efforts of the laborers or daily wage earners. You can create post by thanking workers in your organization.  Giving Awards can be done, or appreciating their work on your social platform can also boost them.

Maharashtra Day

It marks the formation of Maharashtra and Gujarat as separate states. It is declared a holiday in Maharashtra state. Create a post and schedule it in advance stating the importance of Maharashtra.

World Laughter Day

“The worldwide Laughter Yoga movement” is celebrated on the first Sunday of May every year. Create a post sharing a funny incident or story. Connect with your friends or colleagues and share a laugh together.

Eid al-Fitr

This day states the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting that started on April 2nd 2022 and lasts on May 2nd/3rd, 2022. It is an important religious holiday for Muslims. Eid kick-starts the month of Shawwal, which begins with a feast to end the period of fasting. Create a post and wish your fellow Muslims.

Press freedom Day or World Press Freedom Day

It is celebrated to spread press freedom around the world. This day was also recognized to pay tribute to journalists who lost their lives while working onsite. Schedule your posts regarding journalists who collects, writes, or distributes news or other current information to the public.

World Asthma Day

It is to improve asthma awareness and care around the world. World Asthma Day takes place on the first Tuesday of May. Change of season, pollution or any harmful chemicals results in breathing problems. Those people having asthma are allergic to these things. Create a post and show them that you love and care.

International Firefighters Day 

It is celebrated every year on May 4 to honor the sacrifices of firefighter’s who risk their lives for others. Let’s create and schedule a post for firefighters too.

Stars Wars Day 

Every year May 4 is celebrated as Star Wars Day. The date was chosen for the witticism on the phrase “May the Force be with you” as “May the Fourth be with you”. Star Wars, an epic space movie series created by George Lucas. Many Astronomical societies, planetariums, museums and observatories will be sponsoring public viewing sessions, presentations, workshops, and other activities to increase public awareness about astronomy and our wonderful universe.

World Red Cross Day

It comes every year on May 8 to remember the world’s first recipient of Nobel Peace Prize. The day is the birth anniversary of the founder of the Red Cross and International Committee of the Red Cross, Henry Dunant. Dunant was born in Geneva on May 08, 1828.

World Thalassaemia Day

It is conducted in honor of all patients suffering from Thalassaemia and for their parents who have never lost hope for life, despite the burden of their disease. It helps bring hope to people who suffer from this disease.

Mother’s Day 

It is amongst the most special days of May 2020. It is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May in honor of the mothers for the unconditional love they give. Create a beautiful post for your mother / mother-in-law, make her feel more special. Also share how you celebrated this day too.

It is celebrated to raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies can bring to societies.

World Hypertension Day

This day is celebrated by the World Hypertension League (WHL) annually to raise awareness about the High Blood Pressure. The theme of 2020 is ‘Know Your Numbers’ which aims at increasing awareness.

World AIDS Vaccine Day or HIV Vaccine Awareness Day

It takes place every year on 18 May. is observed annually on May 18th as a day to educate communities across the world about the importance of HIV vaccine research.

International Museum Day

It is celebrated on 18 May every year to raise awareness about the museum and their role in society. Share your views and create a post recognizing the importance of museums in raising public awareness about the need for a society that is less wasteful, more cooperative and uses resources in a way that respects living systems.

National Memorial Day 

It is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday is observed on the last Monday of May.
